2009 Ukrainian Cup Final
The 2009 Ukrainian Cup Final was a football match that took place at the Dnipro Stadium on May 31, 2009. The match was the 18th Ukrainian Cup Final and it was contested by FC Shakhtar Donetsk and FC Vorskla Poltava. The 2009 Ukrainian Cup Final is the first time a Ukrainian Cup Final was be held in Dnipropetrovsk. Vorskla Poltava as Ukrainian Cup winners, qualify for the Europa League play-off round.

Prior to the 2009 Cup Final, Vorskla and Shakhtar had met 6 times in previous Ukrainian Cup competitions. Vorskla has never defeated Shakhtar with the best performance a 1–1 draw in the 2nd leg of the quarter finals in the 2007–2008 rendition.
